This is a more unique category of apps because of its game-changing impact on persons who need assistance with speech.  Devices that were bulky and expensive before, when reformulated for the iphone/touch/iPad, are more usable and much less expensive.  Anyone who knows someone with communication challenges would be well served to consider whether these apps are right for them.
